Exciting New Times

February was our opening month and with it brought our First Visitors! We had christened the new Wood Stove and had the Chalet and the Bothy all ready for them. Turning on the water after being closed since Oct 2013, we wondered what to expect, but it was all very smooth. We did have a slight plumbing problem, but that was fixed easily. Our visitors made good use of the fair weather and went biking and walking, (ski-ing was on the agenda too but unfortunately high winds kept the Cairngorm Mountain closed).

20th February – 22nd February 2014

“7 of us stayed at Mondhuie as the first guests of new owners Sylvia and Shane who were absolutely fabulous and made our stay very comfortable. Both the chalet and the bothy are clean and cosy, and fully kitted out with everything you need to enjoy a trip to the highlands, the wood burner being one of the stand out features! We shall definitely return and wish them and their guests all the best in the meantime. Cheers from the Ridleys and Coyles”

We hope they will come back and visit again.

We now look forward to welcoming our next visitors in the hope they will see the squirrels that have been finding the nut-feeders in the garden.  Our new venture has begun!

Getting cosy!

We have been busy installing a Wood-Burning Stove in the Chalet and giving the place a freshen up.

This will be a lovely cosy start for our first guests in February!
